DEAN'S LIST AWARD TAYLOR’S COLLEGE TOP ACHIEVERS’ AWARDS

The Dean’s List Award recognises full-time students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance in a specific semester. To qualify, students must achieve a minimum Semester GPA of 3.50 while maintaining a full course load.

 

Granted on a semester basis, the award can be earned multiple times throughout a student’s programme. It is a mark of academic excellence, noted in both academic transcripts and student records. Eligible students can download their Dean’s List letter from the Campus Central Portal’s Academic Results page after 15 days from the release of semester results.

The Dean's List Award is awarded to qualified students of Foundation and Diploma programmes:

For students from January 2019 intakes onwards
For students prior to January 2019 intakes

  • Long semester: Attempt at least 14 credits or 4 modules (excluding audited modules) and achieve a GPA/Weighted GPA of 3.50 or above; OR
  • Short semester: Attempt at least 6 credits or 2 modules (excluding audited modules) and achieve a GPA/Weighted GPA of 3.50 or above
  • No barred or repeated modules
  • No grade ‘C’ or below
  • No breach of Taylor’s rules and regulations

  • GPA 3.50 or above, with a typical academic workload and an exemplary attitude

The Taylor’s College Top Achievers’ Awards (TCTA) honour the exceptional accomplishments of students from the School of Pre-University — including Cambridge A Level (CAL)Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT), and Foundation programmes.

 

These awards recognise more than just grades — they celebrate perseverance, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to excel under academic challenges. Through rigorous coursework, collaborative projects, and immersive learning experiences, these top achievers have demonstrated a standard of excellence that sets them apart.

 

The TCTA serves as both recognition for the recipients and inspiration for their peers, reinforcing Taylor’s College’s commitment to nurturing academic distinction.

Academic Excellence Criteria

Students must be enrolled in one of the following pre-university programmes at Taylor’s College and meet the respective academic excellence criteria:

Cambridge A Level (CAL)

Achieve 3 A’s and above

Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT)

Attain an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 80 and above

Foundation

Maintain a CGPA of 3.67 and above

Each Top Achiever will be honoured during the award ceremony with:

A certificate of achievement presented on stage

An exclusive professional photograph taken during the presentation moment, perfect for portfolios and personal records

The STAR Award (Student Talent and Achievement Recognition) goes beyond academics, recognising students who:

  • Maintain a strong academic standing
  • Display exceptional leadership skills
  • Make a positive impact on campus life
  • Contribute meaningfully to community service initiatives

Each STAR Award recipients will receive:

  • A plaque and certificate presented on stage

A short presentation of their achievements delivered by the Head of School, School of Pre-University

The TCTA Ceremony is a prestigious annual celebration hosted at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. It brings together the brightest minds from the School of Pre-University, their families, faculty members, and peers in a formal gathering to:

  • Celebrate the academic milestones of the award recipients
  • Publicly recognise their dedication and discipline
  • Inspire the wider student body to aim for excellence

Beyond the awards, the ceremony reflects Taylor’s College’s culture of recognising effort, talent, and holistic achievement.

Ceremony Timelines

Frequency: Twice a Year

Typically takes place in April/May and August

Invitation Process: Emails Are Sent 1–2 Months Ahead

Invitations are sent to students’ personal email addresses — February/March for the April/May ceremony, and June for the August ceremony

Pre-Event Updates: Sent 2 Weeks Before

The organising committee shares detailed event information approximately two (2) weeks before the ceremony
