The Diploma in Interior Design programme is designed to prepare students to create functional and dynamic interior spaces, public places, homes or offices.

In-line with the Strategic Plan 2018-2022, Taylor’s University and Taylor’s College will be positioned to have a distinctive comparative advantage, where the University will intensify its reputation in undergraduate, postgraduate and research offerings, and the College will take a lead on pre-university studies, professional studies and franchise degree programmes.
On that note, effective 1 January 2020, the Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Communication and Diploma in Interior Design, which are presently offered by Taylor’s University, will be moved to Taylor’s College.
Students who have registered in the above programmes and are due to commence their studies in 2020 will be enrolled as Taylor’s College students. There will be no adverse effect other than the shift of programmes to Taylor’s College, which is also within the same locale as the University. Rest assured, the University and College will continue to provide an academic experience par excellence.

Students with a pass in SPM/ O-Level/ SVM or equivalent with min. 3 credits must pass the interview and Virtual Aptitude Test (VAT).
without a Pass Art subject in SPM or equivalent must pass the Visual Aptitude Test (VAT) / Drawing Test / Interview / have a design portfolio review.

Students will develop an understanding of principles and practice of contemporary construction technology, and be instilled with capabilities such as space planning, creative problem-solving, communication and understanding of design issues.
The programme includes a 6-month industrial training locally or abroad which will enable them to redefine and create dynamic and contemporary interior spaces for a variety of requirements.
