Taylor’s College Progression Fest 2025 was more than just an event — it marked a significant turning point for many foundation and diploma students rethinking their next academic step. Held from 5–6 May at the Grand Hall, Lakeside Campus, the annual event served as a central touchpoint for those preparing to transition into undergraduate studies.

Over the two-day fest, students were immersed in a dynamic and informative environment that brought together newly introduced academic pathways, future-focused insights, and hands-on guidance. The event reflected Taylor’s commitment to nurturing confident decision-making while equipping students with the clarity and support needed to shape their academic and professional futures.

From exploring personal interests to identifying career pathways, students were introduced to a wide range of industry-aligned degree options offered at Taylor’s University. Among the featured highlights were programmes that reflect emerging needs and evolving job markets, including the newly launched Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), the Applied Health Sciences degree with its unique specialisations, Mechatronics Engineering, and Taylor’s established Platinum Approved ACCA pathway. These programmes were intentionally spotlighted for their future-forward curriculum and relevance to today’s dynamic professional landscape.

Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE): The first of its kind in Malaysia, this multidisciplinary degree opens doors to careers in public policy, consulting, diplomacy, and beyond. It’s designed for those who want to engage with complex global issues and develop analytical, economic, and leadership skills that matter — all while making meaningful impact in the world.

ACCA: Recognised as a Platinum Approved Learning Partner, Taylor's offer an accelerated route for aspiring finance professionals. Students can fast-track their journey through ACCA-Foundation In Accountancy, Bachelor in Accounting & Finance, or even FinTech, while benefiting from exam registration discounts and high pass rates.

Recognising that transitioning from college to university can be both exciting and overwhelming, Progression Fest also spotlighted the many student support services available at Taylor’s. These touchpoints helped students make informed decisions while discovering the ecosystem they’ll be part of in the years to come.

  • Global Exposure & University Placement: Students explored exciting opportunities for global exposure through overseas university transfer options and international exchange programmes. These sessions, supported by the University Placement Services Centre, helped widen students’ horizons while encouraging cultural immersion and long-term academic planning.

  • Career Interest Assessment: A fun and insightful personality quiz guided students to discover how their interests could align with future career options — a helpful reflection point for those still considering their next step.

  •

BizPod, Vortex XR Lab & Makerspace: Hands-on innovation hubs like the BizPod (entrepreneurship incubator), Vortex XR Lab (extended reality tech), and the Makerspace gave students a glimpse into Taylor’s experiential learning environment, where creativity and real-world application go hand-in-hand.

Immersive, Interactive Experience

To keep the atmosphere energetic and engaging, the event also featured mini-games, programme challenges, and interactive booths hosted by academic schools. These activities offered students a fun and casual way to ask questions, learn more about their options, and interact with faculty members. A lucky draw was also part of the excitement, adding a touch of surprise to an already enriching experience. For many, the best takeaway wasn’t the prizes — it was the clarity they gained.

From Here to What’s Possible

Progression Fest 2025 empowered students with not just information — but insight. It reminded foundation students that the choices they make today can shape the impact they create tomorrow. With also new and future-proof programmes that reflect the world’s evolving demands and support systems that walk the journey with them, Taylor’s continues to lead as a launchpad for future-ready graduates.
