Hello! Welcome to Taylor’s L.I.V.E. Club.
Taylor’s Local and International Vocal Ensemble (L.I.V.E.) Club was first established in Taylor’s College Subang Jaya, which was later brought over to Taylor’s Lakeside Campus in August 2016. Our club gathers music enthusiasts that comprises talented singers, harmonisers, beatboxers and musical instrument emulators, of which are all dedicated to inspire the society through A Cappella music.
Our vision is to construct a family of passionate singers that will strive to empower others through their voices, as described in our tagline ‘Discover Your Voice’. We work towards creating a platform for our fellow members to enhance their skills through practices, workshops, performances and competitions.
Song title - High hopes. This is the theme song by our members for AACN 4.0. We chose this song as our theme song because we want to spread positivity and enlighten everyone during the pandemic. We hope you enjoy this song as much as we do.
We expect to plan a better future for our club for it to keep growing. With that, more team building and bonding sessions will be incorporated into our programs. An example of that will be, group vocal training sessions for our members to learn and improve together. Besides, the club also provides new opportunities which can be a staple for our members to showcase their talent hence our annual AACN event (An A Cappella Night) which we also hope to invite passionate and talented singers and performers to join us in performing and spreading the love of music.
Our club represented Taylor’s University to participate in KLCC (Kuala Lumpur International Choir Competition) and managed to win the Bronze A medal. We performed two songs, first one being Bujang Lapuk and second one being Sound of Silence.
We organised a team building session among our members to build the bond between each member, and get to know each other better. We also had a professional vocal coach to train all of our members in order to improve our singing techniques.
We arranged a fundraising gathering for our signature event AACN (An A Cappella Night). All of our members cooperated very well and took their turn to watch over the booth.
We host welcoming parties every March and August intake for our new members to be part of our family. We will have ice breaking activities, play board games, and also sing a few songs together.
An A Cappella Night (AACN) is our signature event where we organise annually. The main objective for this event is to allow our beloved members and performers to have the opportunity to showcase their talents on live performances. In this event, A Cappella culture is the focus for the event where it allows our members and performers to learn and perform as a unit and cohesive group, and bond more with the members in the club.
