Taylor’s Community Service Initiatives (C.S.I.) Volunteers is an official club of Taylor’s University established in the year of 2012 and led by student volunteers. Under the guidance of our advisor, Mr. Dorian Wilde from Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL), we aim to raise awareness on community needs and to provide a platform for every individual to reach out to those in need.
In C.S.I., we believe that family is not just about the blood that we share but the bond and relationship that we build together with the people around us.
In C.S.I. Volunteers, we believe in giving back to the community and lending a helping hand to those in need. Join us today to be part of the movement!
We focus on youth engagement, answering the call of communities in need, and providing opportunities for university students to inculcate a sense of volunteerism and social responsibilities. Our vision is to instill civic mindedness in the minds of every individual while being fueled by our values: Willingness, Empathy, Compassion, Accountability, Righteousness, and Enthusiasm (W E C A R E).
We have organised various awareness campaigns focusing on different issues such as sexual harassment , Down Syndrome, World hunger and so on in collaboration with relevant Non-government organisations (NGO) such as AWAM, Kiwanis Klang and so on.
We aim to lend a helping hand to those who are in need financially through donation drives such as WECARE For Animals donation drive that aims to raise funds for Second Chance Animal Shelter (SCAS).
Welcoming parties are held to introduce the club to the new members and to foster a strong bond between the members and the board of directors of C.S.I. Volunteers.
We organise volunteering activities that connect student volunteers with their community and make it a better place by lending a helping hand to those in need.
Lumiere is an annual signature event which aims to support organisations and individuals with impact driven goals by helping them through various means such as raising awareness and generating sales.
"Volunteering has always been something I want to spend more time on, especially during University, which is the main reason why I chose to join C.S.I. Volunteers. I want to recommend it to everyone, to lend a hand to those in need."
"During my term of service, my team and I were able to reach out to and listen to stories of people from different walks of life, from gender minorities to NGOs involved in wildlife conservation. It was also extremely rewarding. In C.S.I., volunteerism has always been alive and well."
"The invaluable lessons I learned through this experience will stay with me for a lifetime - leadership, teamwork, and compassion. Above all, I will always remember that as C.S.I. Volunteers, WECARE."
Recruitment for C.S.I. Volunteers happen during Clubs and Societies Day. However, students may register to be a member of the club anytime of the year.
