FMCO Extended Indefinitely: All Teaching and Learning Activities to Remain Online

[Last Update: 28 June 2021]

Dear Students and Parents,

FMCO EXTENDED INDEFINITELY: ALL TEACHING AND LEARNING ACTIVITIES TO REMAIN ONLINE

The Malaysian Government has announced that the full movement control order (FMCO) will be extended indefinitely until all three indicators under Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan are achieved:

  • The daily case average must be less than 4,000 new COVID-19 cases;
  • The healthcare system and ICU capacity must be at a moderate level; and
  • At least 10% of the population must be vaccinated with the second dose of COVID-19 vaccines.

The standard operating procedures (SOPs) remain unchanged, hence:

  • All classes will continue to be conducted via e-learning in TIMeS (learning management system) until further notice.
  • Post-graduate students under research mode who require specific laboratory facilities or equipment to conduct research are allowed to resume their research on campus.
  • When necessary key examinations will be conducted online. However, international and professional examinations will take place on campus as scheduled.

We will continue to monitor the latest developments of the situation and make the necessary adjustments. These are extraordinary times for all of us and we are grateful for your patience and understanding.
