We hope you are staying safe, keeping well and thoroughly engaged in your studies as we approach the mid-semester.
As you are aware, the recent daily increases in the number of Covid-19 cases have put all of us on the alert again. The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in its circular dated 2 October 2020 has reminded all institutions, its students and staff to remain vigilant during their movement to campus as well as on-campus classes and activities. We continue to work diligently to ensure that safety measures such as the use of 3-ply face masks, sanitisers, and thermal scanners, as well as social distancing measures and daily sanitisation of our premises, are being enforced.
As the pandemic remains a real threat worldwide, we are determined to ensure that you continue to receive the best education whilst remaining safe. Our Borderless Learning approach has enabled us to conduct essential face-to-face learning and assessment activities on campus while allowing other students to learn online synchronously and asynchronously.
Where needed, we encourage you to exercise the option of utilising our online lectures, tutorials and practicals that are available to you, instead of attending in-person classes. This is especially important for those of you who are travelling from red-zone areas and those who regularly need to use public transportation. However, please note that our face-to-face classes will continue, based on the current published timetables, in tandem with the classes available online. As a precautionary measure, we will postpone other non-teaching activities on campus until further notice. Please do not hesitate to consult your Programme Director or Head of School if you have queries.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely for any further announcements from the Ministry of Higher Education. In the meantime, please do your best in your studies and stay safe.
